MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. OCTOBER 17, 2018
Attorney Suzanne Lafleur Klok, co-founder of the Klok Law Firm LLC, recently obtained 501(c)(3) non-profit status for her charity Clauses4Causes. The mission of Clauses4Causes is to provide education, outreach, and legal services for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
“We are thrilled to obtain non-profit status, which ultimately helps us reach cancer patients who need these services that can provide them with peace of mind while they focus on their recovery,” said Klok, who founded the non-profit after her mother was diagnosed with cancer.
Clauses4Causes matches law firms with cancer patients to provide assistance in drafting a simple will, living will, healthcare power of attorney and durable power of attorney. “It’s a way to give back to the community and help those in need of assistance,” noted Klok.
Patients who need assistance can apply via the Clauses 4 Causes website. Law firms who would like to participate in providing support can fill out the online application to join the network of law firms.
“We are looking for support from law firms and to spread the word that assistance is available for those in need,” concluded Klok.
